Our professionals at Barnwell Family Dentistry maintain all dental accreditation requirements and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry. All of our team members are CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association.

Dr. Alberto Sáenz
Dr. Alberto L. Sáenz graduated in 1994 from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. After working for an engineering consulting firm for 6 years, he decided to embark on a new career path. Dr. Sáenz attended the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2006. Dr. Sáenz proceeded to complete a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. As a dental physician resident working in a hospital setting, he gained invaluable knowledge and technical skills from an experienced faculty.
He was an associate dentist at various dental practices before taking over as the owner of Barnwell Family Dentistry in July 2012. Dr. Sáenz recognizes the tradition of exceptional dental care that was provided by his predecessors since 1954, and he intends to continue the tradition of providing local families with the best possible dentistry with the help of his excellent team.
Dr. Sáenz is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. One of his main goals is educating patients about their oral health and how it impacts their overall health, as well as helping them overcome a fear of the dentist and giving them a smile that is functional and aesthetically pleasing.
He married his wife, Catherine, in 2006, and together they have a daughter, Gisele and a son, Zachary. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, working in his yard and studying the Bible.
Amber Gillam
Office Scheduling/Financial Coordinator
Amber was born in Pima County, Arizona, but raised in Asheville, North Carolina; she has been in Barnwell for the past 17 years. In preparation for her work, she studied data entry and medical documentation. For Amber, the best parts of her work include helping and meeting new people and working with people who feel like family in a fun and happy place.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her two children and husband, as well as close friends and family.
Madison Renew
Office Administrator & Financial Coordinator
Madison is a proud Barnwell, South Carolina native and a graduate of Technical College of the Lowcountry, where she earned her degree in Business Administration. She loves building relationships with patients and helping make their dental experience easy, comfortable, and stress-free. From scheduling appointments to navigating insurance and financial options, Madison enjoys helping patients feel confident every step of the way.
Outside the office, Madison loves making memories with family and friends, shopping, exploring new places, and spending sunny days at the beach!
Bridgett Jenkins Jackson
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Bridgett is an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant who has been with our practice since 2019. She received her diploma from Aiken Technical College. Bridgett is dedicated to excellent patient care. She ensures that our patients feel comfortable throughout the entire treatment process by attending to all their needs and answering any questions they might have. When not at the office, Bridgett loves spending time with her wonderful family and traveling.
Kaley Googe Jones
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Family, my strong faith in God, and compassion are at the heart of who I am. I have been happily married for seven years and am the proud mother of two sons, ages 11 and 6. Outside of work, I enjoy shopping, reading, and spending quality time with my family. These values shape the way I care for each patient, guiding me to treat each person with kindness, patience, and understanding. I have been part of this office for five years and truly enjoy caring for our patients and working alongside our wonderful staff. I strive to help each patient feel comfortable, respected, and valued, just as I would want for my own family. Bringing my faith, compassion, and family-centered values into my work makes my role as a dental assistant deeply meaningful and fulfilling.

Originally from Allendale, Samantha has been working with Barnwell Family Dentistry patients since January 2014. She was trained at Midlands Tech in Columbia and has an Associate Degree in health science, dental hygiene. Samantha enjoys her work, helping patients keep their mouths healthy.

Lacy is born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Augusta University. Lacy is passionate about providing quality dental care and building meaningful relationships with patients. Her goal is to make a positive difference in each patient’s life by helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles while ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for at every visit. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Go Dawgs!
